IMEX, winner of dozens of prestigious global meetings and events industry awards over the past 22 years for its market-leading trade shows, has added a new accolade to its roster, the Sunday Times Best Places to Work Award 2024.
The award acknowledges the outstanding workplace culture developed by the IMEX Group and highlights its commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive and dynamic work environment for its 80+ employees at its offices in Brighton, UK.
Founded in 2001, IMEX held its first trade show, IMEX Frankfurt, in Germany in 2003, and expanded to the US launching IMEX America in Las Vegas in 2011. With a mission to bring the global events community together to do business, learn, and drive positive change, IMEX has consistently demonstrated its dedication to building better human connections worldwide. The Sunday Times Award is an endorsement of the company’s focus on nurturing a strong working culture and living its values to the fullest: Put People First; Achieve Together and Lead the Way.

IMEX’s CEO, Carina Bauer, expressed her delight at receiving the award, emphasizing the importance of a supportive and inspiring workplace. “During the pandemic when our industry was knocked sideways not only did we move our events online but we also doubled down on using that time to transform many aspects of our business. Like many companies we learned valuable lessons about our staff and our culture, which shone through as a huge asset at a really challenging time. We even grew from 70 staff pre-pandemic to 80 staff now. This award endorses all the work we’ve done so far and gives us added motivation to keep nurturing and developing our culture in the future.”
New offices
IMEX is also preparing to move into new, purpose-built offices in Brighton shortly, which will provide the space necessary for continued growth.
